Notes

Ryan & I decided for this date - exactly a week before Christmas eve.  Everyone was in a festive mood and our families will be definitely available.  My Dad, unfortunately, was not able to attend as he was away for work overseas.  But he did request that the "pamamanhikan" be done at my Tita Vicky's house where my grandparents are staying.   He wanted them to be present during the meeting of the families and wished for my lolo to stand as the family's speaker, although Tatay, as we all call him, is actually my grandfather from my mother's side.

The gathering of both families that afternoon was pleasant.  What made it more special is that my closest cousins were there.  It was a relaxed merienda get-together...the atmosphere was cheerful, the food was great and most of all, the discussion was tense-free and uncomplicated.

It was one wedding event we will never forget.
